RECRUITMENT, SELECTION, AND TRAINING

SPRINGFIELD recruitment and selection process shall ensure that the officers and guards to be deployed at your AOR possessed honesty and maturity of judgment and meet the basic qualifications prescribed by the client.

SPRINGFIELD shall recruit the guard requirements of your business establishment from exmilitary Officers and enlisted men who were honorably discharged, as well as retirees from the service and experienced security guards. SPRINGFIELD will also consider applicants from legitimate security training centers from referrals.

SPRINGFIELD guard recruitment process shall consists of: *Pre-screening of applicants *Testing ( Security aptitude test / IQ test / Neuro-psychiatric test / Drug test for Shabu and Marijuana

PERSONNEL TRAINING PROGRAM

LEVEL 1

Applicants must satisfactorily pass testing in all of the  following subjects:

  • Background Investigation
  • Awareness Program
  • Drug Screening
  • Pre-Assignment Training
  • Site-Specific Training

LEVEL 2

Completion of the following procedures:

  • Orientation
  • Patrol Procedures

  • Criminal Law
  • Client and Management Relations
  • General Duties of Security Officers
  • Effectiveness of Private Security
  • D.P.S. Rules and Regulations
  • Client Rule Enforcement
  • Relations with Law Enforcement

LEVEL 3

Completion of the following procedures:

  • Laws of Arrest
  • Sabotage and Espionage
  • Narcotics Detection
  • Crowd Control
  • Search and Seizure
  • Bomb Threats and Arson
  • Escorts
  • Burglary and Trespass
  • Crime Scene Evidence
  • Traffic Control
  • Endangerment and Assault
  • Robbery and Theft
  • Criminal Damage and Littering

LEVEL 4

Professional security officer status upon completion of the  following items:

  • Radio Communication
  • Electronics in Security
  • C.P.R.
  • Fire Prevention and Suppression
  • Firearms – Legal Use,Techniques, Safety, and Care
  • Firearms – Qualification of the Range
  • Stress
  • Juvenile Protection
  • Baton

TRAINING AND PERSONNEL UPGRADE

All guards to be assigned at your area shall undergo a special  program in order to upgrade their skills, improve discipline and  develop a high sense of responsibility. The training program shall  consist of not less than 65 hours lecture and 25 hours practical  exercises, which will also include high technology security seminar.

Specialized training courses on unarmed defense tactics,  weapons, and marksmanship training, civil disturbance and crowd  control, first aid and evacuation techniques, fire prevention and  control among others shall be scheduled.

In addition, personally development training seminars intended  to; Upgrade skills in oral and written communication, public relation  and leadership. Develop proper work habits and attitudes, good  health and proper grooming; and Provide transactional analysis of  handling complaint, providing information, answering queries and guest / client interaction.

STANDARD OPERATIONS

DEPLOYMENT

The guard shall be deployed and distributed according to  SPRINGFIELD SAI security plan with the approval from the Client.  The guards shall be in prescribed uniform and shall be equipped with  Security requirements.

INSPECTION

SPRINGFIELD SAI shall conduct regular ocular inspection in your AOR  and likewise monitor security operations by means of radio and  telephone. To instill discipline among the ranks; there shall be guard  mounting every guard shift. Drill exercises shall be conducted during  rank formations which shall be held once a week.

DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURE

The following procedure shall be observed in the discipline of erring  security personnel.

If the rules and regulations of the Agency / Client is violated by a  guard, the Detachment Commander / Investigator shall prepare a written report and submit the same to SPRINGFIELD SAI  Headquarters within 24 hours from the commission of the offense. The guard shall then be directed by the SPRINGFIELD to submit a written explanation on the reported violation/offense within 72 hours Upon receipt of the guard explanation, SPRINGFIELD SAI shall  cause an investigation.Based on finding/results of the investigation, appropriate, disciplinary action as prescribed in the SPRINGFIELD SAI regulation handbook shall be imposed on the erring guard.

INVESTIGATION

SPRINGFIELD shall have at least one (1) security officer per shift who  is trained in conducting investigations. He shall respond to incidents at  said area and immediately gathered factual information at the scene of  the incident. Upon request of SSAINC the clients will also provide a  professional investigator to examine, study, search and track gather  factual information to establish events that took place at said area  related to security and safety.
